Each KA WA KEY Landscape Peacoat is crafted from high-quality wool and polyester mix fabric and hand painted using a mixture of professional textile dyes. The only part of the fabric which is painted is the wool hair, so the painting process is very meticulous and takes half a day.
Inspired by Claude Monet and the landscapes he painted at different times of the day, KA WA KEY’s Landscape Peacoats have been painted in three different versions: morning, evening and night. The hand painting ensures that every KA WA KEY Landscape Peacoat is a unique and individual piece of clothing.
The fabric used for the Cracked sweatshirt is knitted in KA WA KEY’s London studio using premium Italian Alpaca and Merino Wool yarn. The “Crack” is one of KA WA KEY’s signature fabric treatments – the coating is manually pressed on the fabric and then cracked by hand to reveal the fabric and colour underneath. Every cracked sweatshirt is unique as the cracks are never the same.
KA WA KEY’s Devore Turtleneck is knitted using a fine spin mixture of Italian Super Kid Mohair blended with Extra Fine Merino Wool yarn and Viscose yarn. This fine gauge knit is finished with Devore, one of KA WA KEY signature fabric treatments. Devore eats out the viscose yarn from the parts where the Devore paste has been painted revealing a slightly sheer mohair and wool base.
KA WA KEY’s Painted T-shirt is made of high-quality Italian Mohair, Alpaca and wool fabric and hand painted using professional textile dyes. The painting process is very detailed as the only part of the fabric which is painted is the wool hair and each t-shirt takes 1-2 hours to paint. The hand painting ensures that every KA WA KEY Painted T-shirt is a unique and individual piece of clothing.
